when we awaken from the indoctrinated coma of the watchtower corporation and starts to see all the lies and half truths one naturally wonders: does the governing body really believe all the stuff that they have printed in their publication?

are they so indoctrinated that they too are victims of the falsehood that the watchtower prints?

Frank, from my forum experience some won't go to links (or clearly read an OP) jumping to conclusions AND commenting anyway. Many times a copyNpaste is nessesary to make a point.

As far as Wiki is concerned, it is a decent source. They try to not let people edit without back up on info posted.

Have you read CoC? What I found interesting is Franz seems to give the impression the GB is never intentionally lying, only making interpetation judgement calls. And when they find they're wrong. They cover it up with a spin or don't correct it due to fear of losing cred.

Personally, I feel ego and power is also a major player within the ranks.

I also wonder the mental state and cover ups due to dementia with the aging GB....

that's all fine and dandy.....(mom)...learing is great.....but a what cost? You mean people who have lost family or commited sucide for foreseeing doctrine change before the GB, only to get DF'd and the GB later change to that doctrine? Or. Ones who have died that are now able to partake in blood fractions. Or. Do you meanlying to the masses with one doctrine, only to change it later to another. Or. Learing the U.N. is the horrible wild beast, only for the GB to be in bed with it? Or. Is it finding out thousands of beautiful, innocent, children are being molested because of an outdated rule (stoning 4 one) which is really ment for adults?

for me, it took many years.. even when i would read all the changes over the years from the "truth", i still would ignore it and "wait on jehovah" and try to be a positive force in the congregation.. eventually, i just couldn't take it anymore and resigned as an elder, and slowly but surely made my fade.. what about you?

here's what i scavenged from the most notable watchtower i've ever read.

it may be far more significant than many people realise!.

and before anyone whinges that one or two are 'old light', the fact remains that all of them are rejecting what was once 'inspired truth' from the revered fds, and disagreeing with any one of these (now current) falsehoods would have resulted in your "stoning to death" and shunning by all whom you loved.

I dunno.. I truly believe they're losing their grip....in the "21st" century..therefore the many talks etc.....

From what I've heard the past few years, many JW's inworldly don't have that fear they used to and are living double lives.

For some reason I still think there may somekind of change one day.....even a slight change......but a change none the less....maybe they'll declare it as a more loving approach.....

intel on warwick project

the committee assigned to build the new complex was called into a meeting with the governing body.

they were told " you finish this project by january 1 2017. we want the keys to the complex and will be headquartered there by that date, do you understand?".

when the brothers protested and said that it would take 6 years for the project to be complete and if they moved that fast there would be many mistakes, the gb responded, "we don't care, that is your deadline".

Which property was it where it's contaminated due to toxic spill of ink? I don't think they'd want to use that property. Aren't they still being sued or having to pay out money for that issue as well?

They may want the Warwick deadline because it's costing them money to stay in Brooklyn, property tax, etc., anything left in Brooklyn.

Why would they give up door to door in Warwick? Because it's called Theocratic Warfare to get what they want. They are slimy.

a friend of mine just got given a recording of the last ca which was held here a couple of weeks ago and she said there's been a change to the 144k teaching.

she didn't understand what the hell they were rabbiting on about.

she's really waking up as a result of all these changes, and so are some others she knows.. anyone know of any change to the 144k doctrine?

Thank You Listener and Bobcat for answering my question. It's been so long. There's some things I remember and others I don't, and with the added flip flops and nu lite...sometimes I forget......

It doesn't make sense they would be talking about a resurrection during that time, because it's obvious that any anointed who die during that time would be raised, so it seems to me they're talking about a "rapture", but I gather we'll soon find out.......
